Chris,
I moved your pic into the December contest album.
I need 4 photographers for an event this Saturday.
I nned the from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM I need them to act as Paparazzi, the job pays $ 150.00 ea. Can you let me know if you or anyone in the group is interested? Please contact Susan Leohner 565-9264.
I'll be there!
Hey, your cat looks a lot like our Bogey.
Chris,
Check out the pics I posted from Wildlights tonight. Note the time and the sky conditions. I like the ones where you can see some sky in them, so your idea to go early seems like a good one. I got there after 5 and there was still some light in the sky.
Good luck with the class; do you know where and which class you plan to take?
A Cord camera ad shows a $250 rebate on the 18-270 Tamron. See what you can find about that.

I have a friend, OH306, who bought the Tamron 18-270. Look at his stuff on Flickr and ask him about his lens. I have missed shots by having to switch from the 18-105 lens to the 70 - 300 lens. I do like the extra reach, but also which I had the flexibility of that 18-270.
If you're serious about capturing animals in the wild you may have to get even bigger glass than a 300. So, a Tamron 18-270 and a zoom 300-600, or even 800 would be good. But we're starting into big bucks with that glass.
