Introduction
Hi everyone! I'm a new backpacker (Clifty Wilderness and the Sawtooths summer 2007 and sporadically in the Eastern Alps Fall 2008) but an active hiker, camper, kayaker, photographer, and nature-lover.
Please relate, in general terms, your backpacking experience.
I've worked through difficult slippery conditions in the Clifty Wilderness and altitude and cold in the Sawtooths, but we have named ourselves Team Tortoise for a good reason.
What was your favorite backpacking experience?
How to choose? One great moment was sitting on a warm granite boulder, waterfalls to either side, beauty surrounding us, realizing we hadn't seen another soul for more than a day!
What was your funniest backpacking moment?
I came back from the Sawtooths with six-pack abs from all the belly laughs. Danny and Scott V are a hoot!
What was your most embarrassing backpacking moment?

What's the longest backpacking trip you've ever taken? (in mileage and/or days)

Hi Janet, I will be in Texas on Sunday and not able to attend the New Richmond Paddle. Would you be able to somehow look for other TSK members at the launch point? A John Pirro is wanting to meet up with others and I think he only has a canoe. Let me know how it turns out.

Thanks Janet...I'm looking at sometime in late July but first I have to check some resources to see if the creek will even be passable at that low-water time of year. Then maybe I can set up something before, or those who know might be able to join in on the paddle. We'll work all that out sometime next week after Muskingum. Tom

Janet...I'm looking around for interesting things to do with the group on the water and came across an old trip you put together to the eagle's nest at Versailes Park. You mention going up a feeder creek to the north, but I see two such creeks...Laughr
